The Supra was purchased with most the paint on the roof and bonnet destroyed, so one of the first things to be done to her was to respray the entire car.

Although I absolutely love a black car, I wanted something a little different and Russ (my panel beater) sold me on a colour he had used on the Commodore he built years ago.

Effectively it is a factory colour, with a twist. In the dark, or when dirty, it's black - slightly off black; in direct sunlight the colour comes through and you get a sort of Violet Crumble colour trying to break free.

To do this properly, we stripped the car back as much as feasible, even removing all the windows so we could spray in around the sills.
